Attending my first bisexual/lesbian dating event next Saturday. :)

Posted in Group:

Only a few of my trusted friends know I'm bisexual. I've suppressed my feelings for a while now and I learned that I'm doing this just so I won't make anyone uncomfortable. It isn't right. I want to be happy and I can't get there if I'm hiding. Now I don't want a big ol' band blowing their horns/banging on their drums to let everyone know I'm bisexual. Lol I'm coming out slowly.

It's difficult to find someone of interest when you're barely around your own kind. I don't have any close lesbian/bisexual friends. I do have a few friends that have been intimate with women but always look at me weird when I say I want to date women. They don't understand how I can possibly have a deep feelings for a woman so obviously those friends are the ones I want to share these particular thoughts with. I thought being a part of this event would help me out.

I actually found the event on meetup.com. You might be able to find events in your town as well. :) They'll have games (I'm assuming these are icebreakers), they'll have dating prizes...it's nice. Imagine if I meet a nice girl there AND I WIN A DATE PACKAGES LIKE A TRIP TO THE MOVIES AND DINNER OR BOWLING? That would be pretty sweet. :D

If I don't find anyone that I can connect with in "that" way, at least I can make some friends. :)

So it went very well. I had a great time. I even had a few "mini-dates". :-D I didn't win any prizes. lol I felt really comfortable with everyone there though.

I thought I would be extremely shy with the ladies but I was the total opposite. I surprised myself that night. :) I'm definitely attending the next event.
